We offer FREE outreach programs on natural resources topics to schools, clubs, and other community organizations.

Please note that our program coordinator, Lyndzee Rhine, will be out of the office until Friday, Feb. 28th but will still be accessing her emails. Expect response time to program requests to be slower. If you need a response sooner, please email her at Lyndzee@gpnc.org.

Can’t make it to our facility? Our amazing staff and wildlife can come to you! Our outreach programs are free of charge and are available for a wide range of audiences.

This includes but isn’t limited to:

  • All classroom settings
  • Retirement and assisted living communities
  • Neighborhood associations
  • Community clubs and other group meetings
  • Scout groups

Due to an increase in program demands, we are unable to do programs outside the greater Wichita area. If your school/group is located more than 1 hour away from our facility, please consider setting up a field trip to our facility as an alternative.

Minimum two-week notice on all programs.

The Great Plains Nature Center specializes in topics related to the great plains region.

Outreach programs are limited to once a semester. There is no fee for our programming, but donations to Friends of the Great Plains Nature Center (FGPNC) are gratefully accepted.

Monday mornings are not available.
