The mural will be painted on the south and east sides of an existing outdoor restroom facility maintained by the City of Wichita Department of Park and Recreation at the Great Plains Nature Center in Chisholm Creek Park. It will have a native Kansas wildlife theme and colorful palette to serve as a visual anchor and photo opportunity. Outdoor murals create a unique sense of place for visitors, and this one will serve as a reminder of the value of the living wildlife at the Great Plains Nature Center as they explore our nature trails.

This project has been approved by the City of Wichita Department of Park and Recreation and Design Council in partnership with the Great Plains Nature Center. It was awarded a KCAIC Outdoor Mural Grant by the KS Dept of Commerce.
