Event Details

Things just got a bit more hectic at our biggest event of the year…

Have you ever wondered about the havoc some species wreak on our native habitats? In all ecosystems, there is a balance of species and how they interact but at times these habitats can get hectic. This is your chance to see the good, the bad, and the invasive creatures of Kansas up-close. Along with the amazing wildlife, you’ll be able to chat with the local wildlife experts and learn about some of your old and new favorite species that reside in our home state. You won’t want to miss this Walk with Wildlife!

We will have animal ambassadors from Great Plains Nature Center, Kansas Wildlife Exhibit, Beaver’s Den Rehabilitation, Southeast Kansas Nature Center, Pratt Education Center, and more! Spirit AeroSystems will be providing concessions so guests may have lunch in the park.

ALL AGES. No registration required.  $10 per vehicle.

In the case of rain, this event will be moved inside.

You may want to bring sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and walking shoes but please leave pets at home!
