DAISY-SKINNY

GIRL SCOUTS:

For each Girl Scout program, all requirements for the advancement point will be accomplished.

Daisy - program length 1 hour

• Clover Petal
Enjoy an hour of fun at the Great Plains Nature Center while learning how to use resources wisely.
We will learn from Clover's clever ideas and make a resourceful craft to take home.
• Rosie Petal
Enjoy an hour of fun at the Great Plains Nature Center. You'll put on a play as you learn how to make the world a better place and have fun putting your knowledge into action on an "un-littering" walk.

Brownie - program length 1 1/2 hours

• Bugs
We'll explore the homes of the insects in Chisholm Creek Park and watch as they go about their business. We'll also do a fun, buggy craft!
• Letterboxer
Do you enjoy an adventure? Brownies will make their own letterbox stamp, notebook and letterbox to take home. Put your clue-solving skills to the test and find letterboxes in the park.

Junior - program length is 2 1/2 hours

• Camper – Step 2
Learning beginning map skills will start off with an indoor practice. We'll use this knowledge, map & compass on an outdoor Orienteering course to find plotted markers. We will also explore how to use a compass and triangulation to find a marker. If time permits, we'll discover how to measure our own pace.
• Animal Habitats
Meet a wild animal of the Great Plains and explore their habitat in Chisholm Creek Park.
• Flowers
Discover the secrets of flowers one petal at a time! We’ll investigate the parts of a flower and record our findings in a Botanist’s Journal, make a flowery craft and much more.
